Saguaro National Park is separated in to two sections. East and West. And in between the two sections lie Tucson. We arrived around 5pm. Enough time to do a scenic drive on the west side park and catch golden hour and sunset. The Saguaro cactus is the icon of the American Southwest. The only place on the planet these trees grow is in the Sonoran Desert, southern Arizona, a little piece of Southwestern California, and North West Mexico. These trees are highly protected here. They are very slow growers and live up to 150+ years. Here’s some snaps I captured.
The following day we did the scenic drive on the East side. I like the West side better. We ended the day staying in the Coronado National Forest. This was our camp spot. Just beautiful.
