Going down into the Carlsbad caverns National Park. Took a 1.25 mile hike down (75 stories) and made it to the “big room”. It was awesome seeing all the different stalagmites and stalactites. Every one was different. Spent around 2 hours there and hiked 2.5 miles more or less. Here’s a photo of one of my favorite formations I found.
And of course I had to get one with me in it thinking, “How the hell did this get here”
We are now “resting” at a free camp site we found in between Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park. It’s literally in the middle of a cow field.. We were surrounded by approximately 40-50 cows at one time and I think they were having a moo’ing competition on who can moo louder. One even had an itch so bad on his head he used our van to itch it shaking the whole van. Hopefully they will fall asleep tonight or go moo somewhere else. Tomorrow we are shooting to do an 8 mike hike to the highest point in Texas. Guadalupe peak. Cheers! 🍻
