February 12th

So today I woke up with snow all over again, but this time I was expecting it. I watched the sunset from the top of the mountain where I was parked all day and decided to look at the weather. It said it was going to be snowing for three hours overnight so I decided to move further down the mountain where I only have a quarter mile to the paved road opposed to a mile or so at the top where I was. Good call, everything was covered in snow and the road was sketchy without snow with these enormous potholes that only trucks or 4x4s should be on. But you know me. 🙂

I headed out to Bandelier national Monument to visit where the ancient Pueblo Indians lived. It was definitely pretty neat to see how they made their homes out of the caves in the canyons.

I then climbed up 140 feet on some wooden stairs to see the alcove house. Nice view.

After that I just hung out there until Sunset and grab this panorama of Feijoles Canyon.

I’m now headed back to the same spot I spent last night and then tomorrow I will head back into Santa Fe.
