So today is a very exciting day for me. I have always loved having and shooting guns. Bianca worked out a deal to make 2 promo videos for this company out in New River, AZ near Scottsdale called Desert Wolf Tours. Their company offers desert tours that include driving around in the rugged Sonoran Desert, on these TomCars ex Israel military vehicles. We did about half hour to an hour of driving to this remote federal land where they had a shooting range set up. It was basically open land with a little mountain/hill in the back to stop the ammunition from going any further. They had a handful of fully auto weapons we were allowed to shoot. Included in the standard machine gun package you were allowed to shoot a fully auto M4 – 5.56, fully auto AK-47 – 7.62×39, and a fully auto M1919 – 7.62×51 or .308. Since we were part of the video crew we had the chance to stay behind and shoot their premium package which included a fully auto shortened barrel and suppressed 300 black out M4, 50 cal Beowulf AR-15, and a 50 cal desert eagle handgun. For me this was an awesome experience! I would say it will most likely be a once in a lifetime to be able to shoot this caliber of arsenal. I would highly recommend this tour if you are in the area!
They also had a tour just for the tomcars which also was awesome if you are not into the whole gun scene. They are not very fast but they feel indestructible. You can feel the torque as soon as you give it gas. Definitely check them out. The guides are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and will teach you a few things about the desert and some survivor skills.
