We have been extremely busy trying to catch up on things. In and out of signal, because we have been staying at National Forests, or BLM lands, that don’t have good signal if any.
Making our way out of New Mexico we made our way to Petrified Forest National Park. Pretty interesting place. Theres these trees that are over 225 million years old, that had fallen and covered by sediment, thus preserving them due to the lack of oxygen. While the ground water containing minerals replaced the original tree matter with elements turning the trees into stones, or fossils. These fossils are known as Petrified wood. You can see them here.
This scene was also pretty neat.
at same park.
