February 2nd
Leaving El Paso TX. heading to White Sands National monument in New Mexico. We are looking at an hour and 30 min drive more or less. We have arrived to White sand national monument. Wow. It’s beautiful. The whitest of white sand. As far as the eye can see. Played around in the sand while the sun was above us. Not the best time for photos. So we hung out in the van for a while waiting for the golden hour and sunset. The time is here. Let’s get some shots! This is what I came up with.
We were lucky enough to have an amazing sunset. We then headed to a free camp site, that is actually extra land of an Air Force Base, right out side the national monument, where we met up with these people we found on Instagram. They converted a 72 passenger school bus into a home! It was super cool! They are also traveling the country in their schoolie and travel with 2 dogs and 2 cars, so they need the space. We hung out with them for a few hours by the campfire, talked and had a few beers. What a great community to be apart of. There was also another couple there that are living in an RV full time traveling the country.
